Patrick Callan is a licensed Portfolio Manager with 17 years of experience in financial services. He founded Callan Wealth Management in 2017 after leaving BMO Nesbitt Burns to build something of his own. In 2021, Callan Wealth Management merged with Pearson Reeves Wealth Management to form the team as it stands today, and it continues to grow.
Patrick leads the team with a focus on helping clients create sustainable and more reliable retirement income. Albertans know Callan Wealth Management as the team that helps people commute their pensions.
Long before finance, Patrick learned what it means to compete. He spent five years as a student athlete at the University of Calgary, playing for the Dinos football team while earning an Economics degree from 2004 to 2008. Those years built a work ethic and a deep appreciation for the people beside you.
Patrick and his wife Hope have been side by side for 17 years and married for ten. Together they are raising three wonderful kids aged 8, 6, and 4. Life is wonderfully loud, and he would not have it any other way.
Outside of work, you will find Patrick on the field or the ice coaching his kids, his way of paying it forward and giving back to the community. Central Alberta is home, and the Callan’s make the most of it; lake life, golf, camping, and hitting the slopes in winter.

Michelle grew up on a farm just outside of Trochu, Alberta. She graduated high school in 1992 and went on to earn a Diploma in Office Administration from Red Deer College in 1995. After spending a few years in retail, Michelle joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2001. She worked with Blake Pearson from 2002 to 2006 before transitioning with the team to the independent firm Worldsource Securities Inc. in June 2006. She remained with the practice until Blake’s retirement in 2021, when Patrick Callan took over the business. The team later joined Q Wealth in June 2023.
Michelle married her husband in 1995, and together they have two adult children: Trey, 30, and MacKenzie, 26, both of whom live in the Red Deer area. She is also the proud owner of a one-year-old chocolate Labrador.
They spend most of their time in Mexico but return to Red Deer frequently to visit family and friends. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, camping, and playing pickleball.

Born and raised in Red Deer, Nicola grew up in a close-knit family alongside her older brother and parents. Today, her and her partner share their life with their two cats, Kitty and Momma, and her dog, Romy.
Nicola earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from Mount Royal University and has continued to expand her knowledge through the IFSE Mutual Funds License and the CSI Financial Planning 1 course. Her career in finance began in 2017 working in the finance department for a local municipality, followed by economic research work with Red Deer Polytechnic. In 2020, she moved into Financial Planning with RBC before joining the Callan Wealth team in 2025.
Outside the office, she loves being outdoors — whether camping, hiking, skiing, paddleboarding, or spending time at her family cabin. She also enjoys travelling and discovering new places and experiences whenever she can.

Joris was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with his family when he was six years old. He grew up in Sundre, a small town west of Olds, Alberta, where he lived until leaving for university. Joris attended the University of Lethbridge, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
After graduating, he worked at Collegiate Sports Medicine in Olds as a physiotherapy assistant while preparing to move back to the Netherlands. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted those plans, Joris began a new chapter in Red Deer, working as a personal trainer. Over the next six years, he built a successful career helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals.
After several years in the fitness industry, Joris decided it was time for a career change. Having met Patrick through the gym, the two developed a friendship over two and a half years, bonding over golf and fantasy football. Through that relationship, Joris was introduced to the Callan Wealth Management team and immediately felt a strong connection to both the people and the culture.
Joris married his wife, Cassidy, in August 2024. Together, they live in Red Deer with their dog, Barnaby, and two cats, Bean and Bear.
Following his honeymoon in Portugal in 2025, Joris joined Callan Wealth Management in June 2025, beginning an exciting new chapter in his professional journey.
